Ok, I see where she’s going. It’s getting intense. Thank goddess for the soundtrack. If you were to take a shot every time a song is mentioned by this point in the book, you’d have 32 shots.

I love it when the intro and first chapter has me invested. I also realize I like narrative science books. Tell me a story, don’t make me do the math. So far, I’m invested.

This book doesn’t get old and is so refreshing.

Written in 2018, this book is too real.

It’s incredible how Wilkerson shows history. There are some uncomfortable chapters so far, but that’s expected. Love her voice.

Slowly but surely
