"'Stay angry, little Meg,' Mrs Whatsit whispered. 'You will need all your anger now.'"

Revisiting an old favorite.

This book has the exception of being only the second book I've cried about to my therapist (bless her), so you know it's special 😅

I'm 4 pages in and I find the quote, "Examining the schedule for January 3, 2021..."

Meg does not fluff around. If you're looking for advice about table settings, this ain't it! Instead of cliche platitudes or focusing on minutiae, she hits you with solid wisdom for how to prepare mentally, emotionally, and practically for your wedding. 10/10 would recommend.

Wow. This book does not fluff around. Meg cuts right to the chase and gives straight wisdom for anyone with a wedding on the horizon. Instead of cliche platitudes or focusing on minutiae, she writes about how to mentally, emotionally, and practically prepare. There is so much excellent advice in here -- would highly recommend.

It dawned on me that the woman sitting next to me in the library was reading this same book. In seconds, we were having a passionate discussion about books. *insert wise & witty observation about literature bringing people together*

It's not my favorite Shakespeare, but that's ok. My love for "Much Ado About Nothing" is hard to top.

I started out by translating a bunch with a Spanish dictionary, but that was painfully slow going. Now I'm just reading what I can and translating a word here and there. Despite not comprehending as much of the story line, it's a more effective learning method.

I wish I'd read this as a kid. It's still lovely, but I think, as a child, I would have adored it.
