As I did my master's degree dissertation on Erich Fromm's theory of knowledge, and subsequently met him with his (as I learn reading this great biography) third wife, and worked for one year doing some research for him on his own work, I am very pleased to discover his deep religious jewish background on the one hand, and his rather unconventional love life, not always as it would be recommended in THE ART OF LOVING.
