I swear I read this book before...

DNF. Whatever the heck that was with Kaleb was too much for me. She should have punched him.

Whew! This book just took a shocking turn. Hoping the ending pulls through.

Much better than the first. Hoping she ends up with anyone but Zander. Even Jarek would be better 😅

For a Bookclub. Not something I’d normally read and absolutely regret not looking up TW first. Still good so far.

I figured it out by page 56 but hoping I’m wrong.

I’m pretty bored so far. Hoping it gets more interesting.

Not far in but I’m already thinking of The Wife Upstairs. I hope it isn’t too similar.

I can’t remember a time I have felt so connected to characters before. Absolutely dreading what’s to come. Hoping Alice Hoffman surprises me and what I’m predicting is wrong 🤞🏼 By the way, this book is phenomenal thus far.

Annoyed with the discrepancies about Maria Owens. The way she harmed her arm, her reaction when the wife answered the door, etc. I imagine someone who didn’t read Magic lessons immediately before Practical Magic would notice, but it’s really bothering me. Maybe due to how bored I am with this book so far 😭

I’m struggling to make it to the finish line. Definitely not as enchanting as the first book I read by her.

Lord, help me get to the end! Why can't I be one of those readers that doesn't feel the need to finish something that takes this long to get through?

Not very far but oh so very bored. Heard the ending is worth the snore fest beginning so determined to finish this tonight.

Reading with my 2nd grader before bed. Getting her into the classics.

I am so incredibly annoyed right now. 84 pages in and I still have no clue whatsoever what has happened. I can tolerate waiting for the story with Charlie but the part with her parents is being drawn out too long and I am about to give up.

Meh! I want to be friends with Mona, at least thus far, but the book has yet to wow me.

Can't remember the last time I started a book and just could not put it down because of my need to know more. Very strong opening
