I hated this book. This was assigned reading in 8th grade, I don’t think I finished it then and used cliffs notes for class. What a slog! It absolutely is a warning about our future and I feel like those in power (in the US) used it as a blue print. The writing sucks, just drones on and on. I would have liked to have some perspective from The Party
