Good, though I haven’t really taken anything new from it aside from a few well-put bits. I’m also having a difficult time reconciling Tozer’s obvious love for God with his neglect of his wife and kids. I often wonder as I read how someone who so adored Christ could be so cold and unloving to his family. But I’m trying to focus on his words more than his biography, and it’s an edifying read at least.

On chapter two and already I’m fretting that I’ve lost my English-major brain somewhere in the law school years—but what a feast of words this is. I’ve missed beautiful literature.

Of all the books on this part of marriage I’ve read so far, this one is the best. It’s an absolute breath of fresh air, both empowering and comforting. While I’d appreciate a bit more discussion on what part of “traditional” gender roles we’re discarding (as opposed to biblical), on the whole this has made sex seem much, MUCH less terrifying!
