I found the book very slow at the beginning, but really liking now that I am in the latter half

The book is interesting, maybe a little slow, but the story line is fairly unique. I am going to see it through!

The book is hilarious, as I expected from Terry Fallis. It’s great to be laughing now that the holiday season has come to an end, and post-holiday weather has me in the doldrums. It won’t take me long to read this.

I only got a short way into this book and then had to return it. I tried finishing it audibly, but I am not good with that method. I am a little relieved because it was going to be a struggle to finish it. I am not saying it wasn’t good, just not a book for me. I would still recommend you try it (based on my book club response).

I am just nicely into the book. It is a selection from my book club. I have heard so much about this book, both good and bad. I am trying to keep an open mind, because there are many more books by Kaye, and even a television series (I think). There is so much hoopla about it; there must be some value in finishing this offering.

The book is really good…great characters, good small town setting, good plot lines. I’d recommend it.

The book is okay…slow in developing the story line. Unfortunately, I had to turn the library book back. I am not sure if I will pick it up again or not. It just hasn’t made me want to.

It’s an interesting twist on erotica, but it hasn’t really grabbed my attention

The book is great. I am really enjoying it because I couldn’t have imagined what the life of a Russian sniper would be like, especially as a woman. Also with Russia and the Ukraine at war right now, I was prepared to dislike her. Possibly I get involved in the books i read and can’t separate my “book life” from my real life at times. Anyway, I would have recommend this book as an exciting eye-opener.

The book is really interesting. It gives a snapshot of some very disturbing events in this family. The book was recommended to me, but they told me it is a difficult read. That piqued my curiosity, and I am glad I am “pushing” through it.

Really good book...book club choice. Will give a much more detailed update when I finish it, but will be recommending it as a good read!

I am a little disappointed in this book. It was my book club book for this month, but at the midpoint of the book it just hasn’t grabbed my interest.

The book started off well and was drawing me into it. Now I am finding it jumping around chronologically, making it harder to follow the various threads of the story.

I really like this book. It’s not riveting, but the story moves at a good pace, and keeps me wanting to pick the book again every chance I get. It is based in a seedier part of Philadelphia…sex, drugs, you name it. And so far it is also showing a seedier side of the Philadelphia police.

The book has finally taken off. After taking most of the first half to set the stage, introduce the characters, and show us some of New Orleans, the story line is shaping up, and I am getting more excited. So excited that I am going to have finished it time for my book club meeting tomorrow. And I will have some positive things to say about it.

I find this book very slow to develop its story line. I am hoping the second half starts to move more quickly, and I find out why this book was written.

The book is amazing…the true story of a journalist/photographer captured in Somalia. Details of her detainment are not for everyone, but if you have ever wondered what it is to be kidnapped in war-torn countries, this a must read.

I found the start of the book difficult to get into. It started more like a travelogue than a novel. However, our heroine’s travels lead her to a new career in some very dangerous countries. I don’t want to give any spoilers, that might ruin it for you should you choose to read it yourself. I can say that I would recommend it given what I have read so far.

I am enjoying the book...I love to travel too. Just a very busy time for me so I am not reading it as fast as I need to for my book club.

I really like this book. It’s a very easy read and author has created really interesting characters that you can get quite invested in. I have my favourites and want to keep reading just to see what happenS in this battle between right and wrong.

it's a good book so far, a light, easy read. I see some twists and turns shaping up in the story lines...looking forward to seeing where they go.
