The cover might be hideous (truly embarrassing) but I am so grateful to a conference friend for recommending this to me - the academic theory is sound, the Marxist discourse is fascinating, and it’s so well written and well researched. Someone ought to republish this with a much better cover

Absolutely devoured this on my flight. It’s so all-encompassing and atmospheric. Genuinely might be about to be one of the best modern novels I’ve read in a long long time

I’ve tried to read this a hundred times and never gotten through it but I just have a feeling I will love it, so audiobooks to the rescue!

This has gotten so hard to read. I think everyone needs to spend time with this book at the moment to understand where we have come from and how far we still have to go. People need to reevaluate how they perceive women, both in and out of the household
