Starting to feel annoyed with the bad guys. Are they unrealistic? No. But the tortured logic they use to justify themselves while simultaneously judging their fellow men makes my head hurt.

"Evie had a problems with snakes in the past..." No, please, don't let them be this blatantly obvious this early in. Make it so I'm wrong about this, please.

Forcing myself to keep reading to see what this dude's reasons for being such a major asshole are, but so far, this is a dull book. My friend said it was slow to start, but I'm up to the middle and this thing's not even out of first gear yet. (*T_T)

Well...that last sentence was certainly ominous.
