Like kinda so so.
There are some pieces that are really heavy on calculus and linear algebra but I don’t really get the point it’s trying to convey. The early chapters were more about the history of the field(s) and how it’s developed into the current age. But now it’s deep diving into the statistically optimal symbol length and I just don’t get the purpose. We’ll see…

I got this book for free not too long ago. If anything I’m trying to clear up my shelf these days but this book was something an ex had read and spoke highly of. I’m done with 2 out of the 4 stories now and I’d like to say that I get it. Beautifully written, but still simple to understand. Really sweet stories and a cool overall premise of a coffee shop where you can time travel(in certain restrictions)

So far, another solid King read. Mostly been listening to it while I’m actually out walking so immersion is 10/10. Kinda waiting for the next major ”wow” moment. Right now they’re kinda just walking and dropping one by one

Pretty good so far. There’s a lot of good lessons about how the best choice for you will(and should) make people mad. But man it also has some really weird claims… For example it thinks:
“It is because he hit me I have a bad relationship with my father” should be replaced with
“I brought out the memory of being hit because I don’t want my relationship with my father to get better” … like what?
