i keep telling myself i should take notes but i know in my heart my notes would just consist of the quotes here and a ‘???’ following it. (also yayyy im back and ive read like five books i need to review. but after i finish harrow the ninth bc i am confused and intrigued and insane)

the whole breaking the fourth wall as both the narrator and a character in the murder mystery could possibly work if the guy wasn’t the most ANNOYING FUCKING PERSON ON THE PLANET my god i truly wish hes the one who died!!!!!!! this is excruciating to get thru when he’s doing his first person thing like GOSH! cut to the other characters im tired!!

my past reads have made me feel like i want to die (negative) so i really just need tamsyn muir to work her magic and make me feel like i want to die (positive). so far i am lovinggg ittttttttt.

please god i need to be done with this book please my god. i feel like im wading thru molasses trying to get thru this.

honestly devouring this much faster than any of the other audiobooks i’ve listened to which is sooo fascinating to me but thank GODDD the annoying as fuck narration eventually settled into a more enjoyable read. also lana is supposed to be from LA but every line of hers sounds like she has a slight southern drawl? make that make sense.

you guys are going to be sick of me saying this but GOD this narrator is so fucking annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ohhhmygod making this first person pov and constantly breaking the fourth wall WAS A HUGE MISTAKE!!!

the amount of times i’ve had to restart this not because i’m invested in something else and blocking out sound like how it normally is when i listen to audiobooks but because the author’s british accent in combo with the annoying as fuck writing pisses me off to the point where i get too mad to pay attention…..this is going to be an absolute SLOG i know it 😞
