I haven't read anything by Laird Barron, but I do have this one on Kindle. I wasn't sure if it was a good place to start, though. Glad you are enjoying it.

Actually, I just remembered a short story I read by him in an anthology very recently which I really enjoyed! I will have too read more by him, too.
I think you'll enjoy his writing. In some ways similar to Adam Nevill, he seems to love the cosmic and lovecratian influences.
I did want to get a couple of his story collections, but they were so expensive, even on Kindle. This one I managed to get in the Kindle deals. It was a Lovecraftian anthology I read his story in, actually. Yes, I think I would enjoy his writing. Will have to keep checking those prices on Amazon!
I bought this as a kindle deal. Funny you say that, I've been looking online for some of his books. Most seem to be imports and expensive.
And £12 for a digital copy is crazy 🤪 😜
Yes, I won't spend more than a few pounds on an ebook! Usually, I only get the 99p deals.
