safeya ༒︎ wrote: "i’m having such a hard time getting through the beginning of the book 😩 tell me it gets better pls"sorry for the late reply but yeah. i’m rereading the series, so clearly it worked for me once (enough that i read the whole trilogy, then a book about side-characters and came back). whether it gets better for you depends on what you’re struggling with. the writing style stays mid, the romance is more of a slow-burn side plot than a main focus, and the setting… let’s just say it only works if you don’t think about it too hard. personally, i just accepted that everyone is terrified of a 152 cm psycho with knives and moved on. what really sold me were the characters, their relationships, and how they develop over time.
