Altered States was such an intense exploration of the mind and identity. The mix of science, psychology, and spirituality really pulls you in. It’s wild how Russell captures both the thrill and the danger of human curiosity. Definitely one of those reads that leaves you questioning what’s real.

I have never seen Ken Russell's interpretation. I've only finished Chayefsky's book. I'll be interested to compare.
