Anyone feel like trying to convince me to keep reading this? All the histrionic verbiage on the front and back cover make me want to throw it at the wall.

S.M. Yeah this one didn't wow me. Mostly because the premise has been done to death by this time, but I assume it was really something back in '71.

Nope. This is completely out of my genre range for the most part.
As is the movie but it was on TV one day when I was a kid...

Jack Tripper It’s been decades since I read it but I dug it. It’s an extremely slow burn that gradually creeps up on you.
