The best part of this sports romance is that there are almost zero sports in it.

Single dad only works for me when the dad in question is competent.

I don’t get why he’s so closed off emotionally, he has great parents, great kids and a great career. So his ex wife was terrible, get some therapy and don’t take it out on everyone around you.

Good Christmasy vibes even though it’s not a Christmas book.

Ew, just had a good look at the cover of this book. Why does he look 17 with a pube beard?

I will always prefer the grump sunshine dynamic where the woman is the grump and the man is the sunshine. At least this heroine doesn’t take any crap from him.

Can we stop calling men grumpy when they are just assholes with zero emotional regulation?

I don't know much about sports, but I enjoy reading game scenes (all those sweaty, athletic bodies are part of it). I have a friend who is a football fan, though, and she can't read sports romances because the things they get wrong or disregard irritate her so much.

I can’t read hockey or baseball romance with lots of focus on the sport unless it’s really well done because I don’t know too much but football I have no idea so I’m ok, but I do get bored if too much actual play is in any book. But a little bit of sports colour can be ok.
