It mostly that I don't like anyone yet, and the tone is different: more bickering, but not of the adorable witty kind, it's meaner. I loved the setting in the other two instantly, didn't even care about the mystery tbh, that's not why I am attracted to these books :)
Oh definitely! The mystery is just an excuse for the characters to have banter and drama with Heyer
