GR friends - I turn 22 in two days! On my way to adulthood, yikes! Because I sense that the “adult” world is all about pretending to have your act together when you are actually a little fragile and sometimes scared, I want to re-share my blog, starting with this updated ~ vulnerable ~ about section. I will post regularly, so let me know what you want me to write about: https://thequietvoice18.wordpress.com...

Happy early birthday! I've felt about 80 since the age of 12, so "getting older" was never a thing for me when I was already there mentally. (I've reached mid 20s now... get off my lawn!) In regards to blog content, I think you're doing great as is. I just read your previous two posts and you have a clear, warm and intelligent voice. I love reading about psychology and will look forward to seeing more of your work.
I turned 20 a week ago and I thought that was big thing..no more a teen. anyway I guess we'll always be a little fragile but that's okay
Happy birthday! I am 38 and don't remember very well how 22 felt like, but I remember I felt like a proper adult when I turned 25. I never believed in the power of 20s, 30s and so on, because it feels so much more of a milestone when you turn 25 or 35.
Have a very Happy Birthday. I don't think you ever get your act together. With age you will come to accept that all of the challenging parts of yourself make you who you are. You deserve to be loved and appreciated for everything that is you.
Thank you so much for your kind words everyone, about my blog and my birthday! I had a great time celebrating in Boston, my favorite city, where I visited several fabulous bookstores. :)

All the little nooks and crannies make me happy. Plus the used store downstairs! Love it!

Such a fabulous place, and glad we can bond over our love for books and bookstores.
