I am sincerely grateful to own a copy of this book, to be able to pick it up at will and let its pyrotechnics dazzle my mind for a few minutes or a few hours--skipped meals and missed appointments, the sense of time growing as fractious and disoriented as within a Vegas casino.

Chapter 26 ("A Six-Shooter Shot Six Times") can stand on its own as an exemplary feat of writing.

Rick Harsch My Thunder offered up: my diary/memoir Arjun and the Good Snake, Being an Ophidiological Accoun of Six Weeks in India without Alcohol, has been bought by Zerogram Press on condition of improvement by revision. I won't presume that means it has actually sold, as I have to meet editorial requirements to fulfill the agreement. That said, I see nothing in the requirements but opportunity to improve the book.
