A few pages later, the author does try to explain what a swap masquerade party is, BUT as expected she fails quite miserably. What I could interpret from the story so far is that they're sex parties supposedly in the queer community where you (maybe) swap identities, with whom, I dunno, and become anonymous (how anon can you be with masks?) for the night and no one questions you and tries to reveal your identity. Authors, please be fucking clear about words, especially the ones that are the crux of the story! Ughhh
The rant aside, I'm liking the story so far though with the exception of a few pet peeves here and there. :P
