After reading this post -- http://delilahmarvelle.blogspot.com/2... -- I randomly checked my first positive review on GoodReads. It's been stolen at least twice and is being used to sell books. I may never review again.

Jennifer That is horrible. But I count on your reviews so I am feeling selfishly sorry for that reason too.

Jessica That's awful. :( Sorry, you've had your reviews stolen, Willaful.

Beanbag Love That's awful. I'm so sorry that happened to you. Ugh.

Jacqueline J I checked some of mine and they are out there on some sites that offer free book reading. They seem to be lifted straight from GRs with my name attached. Hmmm...I think these sites are all one and the same. Yours are there 2 Willaful. I think it is some sort automated program that pulls up the most liked GRs reviews to use on their clone sites. Did you see those?

willaful No, this isn't the same thing. These are my reviews under someone else's name.

Caz Wow - and what a bloody cheek. It seems that no matter what you do these days, there's always someone out there ready to take advantage and spoil it.

Maria Rose That happened to me on Amazon - someone took my review word for word and posted it as their own. On the one hand I was flattered that they thought I was worthy of copying. On the other hand I was appalled. It was a reader on goodreads who noticed it and a whole bunch of others that had been copied onto amazon and messaged the lot of us. After telling amazon about it they removed that person's account (it was the same person who had stolen all of our reviews). It was so weird!

Jacqueline J I was unclear. Mine haven't been stolen that I can tell for use under someone else's name like yours willaful and Maria Rose. I don't really think my reviews are that good. Mine just sort of get the idea across without being that eloquent and I don't think anyone wants to claim them! ;-) But I did see one on this page http://librarysbook.com/read/7576487-... There are several pages all with different URLs that look exactly the same and use reviews from several GoodReaders . I don't know exactly what these pages are trying for. Looks like illegal file sharing sites. Does anyone know?
