it's REALLY good! last book that made me belly laugh the same was bob mortimer. there are some seriously graphically violent bits that took me aback, and each story is beautifully descriptive. they all feel like little escapes. i have a soft spot for his very first little silly old book and feel nostalgic for that but can appreciate that he's being a teeny bit more serious while still keeping with the magical realism.

i do have a few qualms with it, but that's just me being lousy and seeing podcast blindboy in the stories (even though some of them absolutely have anecdotal aspects, especially the second one about his two cats). i keep needing to separate the two mentally and give out to myself for getting annoyed.

each story is completely different; even the styles change from one to the other so it's been a lot of fun to read so far.

overall would recommend
