This is one of my favorite books and I have learned so much about the spiritual life from St. Francis de Sales. Now, if I can put into practice what he says.

I have sloooowly tiptoed through it over several years at this point, but it is all worth the read, and likely a reread someday, too!

You might like Personal Prayer. (One of my recently finished.) It's a little easier to read, and lots of compatible information.
