You might be thinking, "Amy, wasn't your goal this year to read 25 books over 700 pages? Aren't you falling behind?" And the answer is yes but there is a reason I have not read these long books before. They are boring and I have the attention span of a squirrel.

That is a hard challenge. Nicholas Nickleby is the last one I remember reading that long.

Oh dear! Might be time for some anthologies?I loved Little Dorrit and Our Mutual Friend. Read both of those very quickly. Another nice chunky writer is Susan Warner...hers are on archive.org
