I'm currently finishing up Book Four in The Position series and gearing up for the fifth and final one.
After that I'm planning to write an ongoing series called City Girl, about a young woman who drops everything in her button up life in Boston and spontaneously moves to San Francisco to follow her dreams. It will be a Sex In the City meets Tales of the City kind of thing.
Lots of other sexy stuff in the works.

If you ask me, a true in-the-trenches writer can't sit around waiting to be inspired. Writing is work. It's hard work, because the brain is lazy. Even writing fun, light, entertaining stories can be difficult if I'm not in the mood. If conditions are right and I have the time to spare, I damn well better get to writing whether I feel inspired or not.

My most recent book is The Position Book 4, which is nearly finished. Of course, the ideas came from the ongoing plot of the earlier books, but more broadly, I find that ideas happen in the process of writing. If I come up with a plot outline in advance, I never stick to it. Characters just seem to go where they want to go and things keep happening to them.
As for where I get ideas for books in general, putting down the damn iPhone helps. I need to sit and do nothing but dream and imagine for the stories to come. If I were to deluge my brain with the constant noise of social media and news stories, I would have absolutely nothing to write.
