How do you get inspired to write?

Izzy Mason If you ask me, a true in-the-trenches writer can't sit around waiting to be inspired. Writing is work. It's hard work, because the brain is lazy. Even writing fun, light, entertaining stories can be difficult if I'm not in the mood. If conditions are right and I have the time to spare, I damn well better get to writing whether I feel inspired or not.
