I've just finished "Master of the Tower," the second Witchkind novel (witchkind.com); I'll be blocking and outlining the last book in the trilogy, "The Fifth Axis," next.

I sometimes have 2-3 books I'm working on at once, so I'll just switch to another. But it rarely happens: I block out and outline my books pretty thoroughly (that can sometimes take 2x longer than writing the thing!), and so I basically always know what I'm writing about.

"Daniel Scratch" literally came to me in a dream, almost fully formed. I actually leapt out of bed to start taking notes before I forgot it!
