I have always been intrigued with the life in the desert. From Sci-Fi books to real-life books, the desert is a place of mystery to me. The Bible does not talk about every day life for the Hebrew nation while they wandered the desert for forty years. I thought to myself, "What must that have been like, waiting around for a generation to die, knowing you are stuck where you are for forty years?" While the Bible gives us information about Moses and the structuring of a nation, we are left with little about the common life of the common person. So with this book, Between Waters, I wanted to explore that idea.
