Fictional world travel itinerary...well, I suppose it might be interesting to wander into the places of my own books. I will admit my writing is some form of escapism. Also, there's Wonderland--Alice had a lovely little tour that I envy. Another place that would be fun is Stefan Zweig's Vienna in the World of Yesterday. Now you might claim, "But he was writing about Vienna! It is a real place!" Yes, I'll grant that much, Vienna is real (and quite lovely). However, he was writing of a memory of Vienna that is far fonder and nostalgic than the one he lived. History shows his vision simply wrong for most of the people. However, the period was lovely in relation to the world war that followed. Do recall he wrote that book in exile right before his suicide! The Vienna he depicted was and ideal, a utopia--hence not a real place. As a general rule, when it comes to fictional worlds, my desire is to see something interesting or whimsical.

I won't give the full list. Correction, I can't do that. I often stumble upon books and read them rather spontaneously!
So, in no particular order, here's what on my shelf currently:
Theodore Roosevelt in the Badlands by: Roger DiSilvestro
Persepolis by: Marjane Strapi
Muderdrome by Griff Shelley
The Go-Betweeners by L.P. Hartley

I'm not sure my life would make for much in the way of a mystery. A lot of my story ideas draw inspiration from life. But that deals with minor, usually subconscious aspects of my life. A whole plot line has yet to hit me in such a blunt manner, that that might be killer!

Tricky question, I cannot think of any in particular at this time. Though in general, I like couples where both characters are independently strong and skilled, yet together form a greater whole. I guess I am on the lookout for that in my reading!

Daydreams bled on to notebook pages. There's an editing process too, but mostly daydreaming. Granted such whimsical drive isn't the greatest for the timetables!

I like storytelling, imagining other places, and far out adventures. The pen happens to be the medium I can work with best. There is something very satisfying about looking through a notebook chocked full of some story of one's own making.
