I have a few books that are all coming out around now but I'll choose one. "The Christmas Cottage" (which is being re-released October 6th) was my first holiday novella. I loved the idea of being stuck in a snow storm with your secret (or not-so-secret) crush. And I always love a Christmas story with just a little fairy-tale magic thrown in. It's really one of my favorite holiday books that I've done.

There is always a story going on in my head. I love to read and sometimes I'll get an idea from another book. Music is a huge inspiration for me. Sometimes I'll hear a song and it just makes me think of what the story is behind it.

Right now I have multiple projects that I'm working on - I'm co-writing a novella with another author, I'm editing a Christmas novella and editing Shaughnessy books 3 and 4 and starting on a new book for indie release in early 2016.

Write what you want to write and not what someone else tells you to write. By that I mean the genre that you want. I know writers who enjoy writing paranormal and are told to write contemporary. The process becomes harder because it's not your comfort zone. It's okay to be challenged once in a while, but it should be because you want to challenge yourself, not because someone else tells you that you should.

All of the amazing readers I've met! I'm a bit of an introvert and getting to meet readers at signing and social media pages has been so much fun for me! It's pretty exciting to know I have friends all over the world now!

I always have more than one project going at a time so when I get blocked in one story, I can normally write something in another one. For the most part, that's worked. Occasionally when nothing would come to me, I force myself to step away from the computer and plug in my iPod and relax. Taking a mental break helps a lot!
