What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Samantha Chase Write what you want to write and not what someone else tells you to write. By that I mean the genre that you want. I know writers who enjoy writing paranormal and are told to write contemporary. The process becomes harder because it's not your comfort zone. It's okay to be challenged once in a while, but it should be because you want to challenge yourself, not because someone else tells you that you should.
