I used to have writer's block when I first started writing. The whole idea for writing for a book was so different from the research papers I was used to. But, now, I think through what I want to write, and sometimes In write notes. By the time I sit down at the computer, I've just about written the whole book in my head. So, all I have to do, is write. Oh, I do think when writing a novel, an outline is good. Not, the basic type, but the type that requires outlining the main idea of each paragraph, and a bullet of the supporting details for each point you want to say in that paragraph.

Motivation is the key to what genre one chooses to write. For me, I like to inspire, and teach. Having been a licensed educator for over two decades, I guess that's natural. But, in general the best thing about writing is connecting with your audience and seeing how what you wrote broadens their perspective.

OMG! Some of your questions are right up my alley tonight. I say that because I have a kickstarter page for my online business: Book Sage Boutique, and one of the rewards I offering, is a full seminar on how to publish your book. This is for those who already have a manuscript. They'll be opportunities at the seminar to learn many tricks of the trade, that would normally take years to learn. But, the seminar will only be offered if ten people donate to the campaign at the $500 level. So, if you really want to get ahead of the game, secure your spot soon!

I think because I'm such a spiritually lead person, most of what I write is divinely inspired.

The answer to your question is a long one. You'd probably understand the origin of the book better if you read it. But, basically, after a series of really bad events that occured in my life, that effected my finances, health, job, and relationships, I found myself on sick leave and wondering how/or if I wanted to move forward. So, I prayed and asked God (I am a Christian) Why? And, his answer came in the form of the 52 Epiphanies I included in the book: Epiphanies of the Soul: 52 Life Principles to Live and Love By.
