Elizabeth Goddard Hi Cintia, Thank you so much for stopping by to ask a question. Before I started writing with the goal of being published, I had the same question. But I've now trained my mind to constantly be on the lookout for ideas. They are all around us. There are things that will simply inspire me, and then other times I have to take a few days and work at it for my proposal idea. I've written out a lot of what I do in this blog post for Seekerville. I hope it helps! http://seekerville.blogspot.com/2012/...
Elizabeth Goddard Right now I'm writing four books a year and I don't have the luxury of writer's block, so maybe that's how I deal with it.
Elizabeth Goddard I LOVE being a writer. I get to travel anywhere I want to and experience things I've always wanted to experience. Of course, I can do all those things without any risk whatsoever to myself.
Elizabeth Goddard Make it a priority and keep working at it. Attending conferences is as important as learning the craft. You have to network and connect with those who will help you in your career.
Elizabeth Goddard I'm working on the third book in my new series for Love Inspired Suspense called Mountain Cove--it's a mountain search and rescue series set in southeast Alaska in a fictional town near Juneau. Love the characters and the setting.
Elizabeth Goddard Well, as a professional writer, I can't wait for the muse to hit me. I have to write, no matter what in order to make that looming deadline. What works best for me is to read what I've written before hand and edit that and then I'm into the story and the words flow. Barring that, I put on the appropriate soundtrack to fit the mood or tone of the scene and that never fails to inspire me.
Elizabeth Goddard Settings are always a big inspiration for me, and Jackson Hole is no exception. I've spent many vacations and anniversaries enjoying the majesty of the mountains and beautiful landscape, and of course, shopping in Jackson.
