The research. Before I was a writer, I was intrigued by different things, but never brave enough to ask questions. Now doing research for books, I have to ask a lot of questions and experience different things. I love doing that.

My best advice is just sit down and write. Too many people are afraid to get their words down. They think the first version should be a masterpiece. It never is. The first version should be awful. Lots of misspellings, lots of grammar errors, lots of rewriting in the future. The thing is to just got those words out there. I have done National Novel Writing Month for years. It has helped me to get my ideas out of my head and onto the computer. Is my novel done at the end of the month? No. Is there a lot of rewriting to do? Of course. The point is...don't be afraid, just do it.

My next book is the second book in the travelers series. The title of it is The Travelers: Misty.
