Marie Evergreen was born to a military family in San Diego, California. Soon after her birth her family was transferred to Scotland. So began her travels around the world and the United States. She has lived in two countries and eight states. She now resides in Northern Colorado with her husband, two children and many animals.

Marie has been writing since she was a child, always letting her imagination run away with her. Always having a tenacious personality, she has taken challenges of people who would say "You can't do that" and said "Watch me."

In her "spare" time, she loves to quilt, bake, garden, read, and homeschool her children.

Before I was a writer, I was intrigued by different things, but never brave enough to ask questions. Now doing research for books, I have to ask a lot of questions and experience different things. The first version should be awful. Lots of misspellings, lots of grammar errors, lots of rewriting in the future. The thing is to just got those words out there. I have done National Novel Writing Month for years. It has helped me to get my ideas out of my head and onto the computer. Is my novel done at the end of the month? No. Is there a lot of rewriting to do? Of course. The point is...don't be afraid, just do it.(less)

I could not put this book down. I don't know what else to say, but just wow. It was a heartbreaking beautiful story and made me want to walk the Camino.

Such a good book

This book had some similarities to some other things I have watched and read but the twists and turns here were great. I found the ending very satisfying.
