Will there be another book in the Fishers Wharf series?
Tracy Baines Yes, there will, Kathy. It will be published later this year. I think it is planned for August/September. The series has been rebranded as the Dockyard Girls. At the moment I have given it a working title of Stormy Days for the Dockyard Girls but my publishers might change it. Thanks for asking.

Tracy Baines Hi, Amanda. Thank you for asking this question. Any more books in The Variety Girls series will be down to the publishers, so fingers crossed as I have plenty of ideas. I'm working on something else at the moment, set in Grimsby but of course the characters will also go to Cleethorpes - why wouldn't you :)

Once I've finished that I'll be on to another book I have in the planning stages. I love setting them in our home town. I want to write positive things about the place and its people. Thank you so much for your review. I'm so happy you enjoyed the book.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Tracy Baines Write. Write anything. It's never perfect the first time but you gain momentum if you keep at it. The main thing is to get the story out. It may seem awkward and infantile but that doesn't matter. You can go back and polish once you've finished. And don't stay at the first chapter - move forward until you get to the end. You may be tempted to polish as you go but that might mean you never finish it. Forward!

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Tracy Baines Not having to do my hair or wear make-up. I love the fact that I don't have to get dressed up to go to work, although I do have to wear proper shoes. For some reason I can't write when I am wearing my slippers.
