Christine Procter If I get a block in a story then it's usually because I'm writing a section that doesn't fit. Drop the idea and work with another approach. If that doesn't help then temporarily go onto another project. Or take the dog out - that usually helps me.

Christine Procter I enjoy creating stories and situations I'd like to read, then I like to twist them to see what happens. It's entering another world without the need of external devices. Although I wouldn't be without my laptop.
Christine Procter Believe it or not, it came from a 10 minute exercise on my Creative Writing course. It started out as a paragraph, then grew and grew! The exercise I was given involved an object, a profession and a location. I was given pendant, writer and hotel. That's all it took. Inspiration comes from all sorts of places.
