I wish I could get the book early to Patrons! But the release is out of my control.... I will say, however, that listeners of the podcast will have a definite advantage in terms of solving the mystery. There are lots of nods to the tropes and tricks discussed Catherine and I discussed over the years.... I hope you enjoy it when you get to read it.
And fair enough re: Geraldine McEwan! I know there are many Christie fans who adore her, even though I do not. Half the fun of being part of the community of Christie obsessives is how much we disagree!

Thank you so much for your note; I hadn't seen it when you sent it (so very long ago...), so I apologize for the delayed response!! I'll have a second Ghostwriter mystery coming out a year after the first one is out on shelves (which will be this January 2024). So there should be a new mystery for you to read in/around January 2025! I actually just finished my first full draft of it; and I'm very excited to share it with you when it's ready!!

Thank you so much for this, it really made my day! And congratulations on your daughter--two months! You are in the thick of it! The funny thing is that the book came about very organically (and... very... slowly...), so while I wish I could say I came up with the premise in a "Eureka!" moment, it just sort of morphed into what it is over time. I will say that the character I started with was actually the one behind the proposal itself (I won't say more for fear of spoilers!). Anyway thanks again for your comment/question; it means the world to a writer currently toiling away on his next project.

Sadly, I don't think there's a mystery juicy enough from my real life to serve as a plot for a book! Isn't there some quote somewhere about the staid, quiet lives that writers lead?

Oh, this is such a great--and tough--question, because there are so many from which to choose.... I am going to assume you mean a couple who are romantically linked, and on that front I'm going to be controversial and say Levin & Kitty from ANNA KARENINA. Yes, everyone focuses on the titular character and her "high romance" with Vronsky, but Levin and Kitty's relationship is the counterpoint throughout, and the (seemingly) mundane domesticity they eventually achieve is much more my speed....
