Way too many! I have over 40 unread books on my bookshelf (I have a serious condition which enables me to buy, buy, buy more than I can read) but I think I would like to get through some of my Dean Koontz books I have stocked up on.

Where do all my children's odd socks go to? No just joking, I think the only real mystery in my life at the moment is what lies ahead for me in the future and that could be turned into a plot for a book in so many ways if I were to get very imaginative.

Glen and Maggie from "The Walking Dead" because they are two completely different people from completely different backgrounds who just fell madly in love with each other. They adore each other so much and would do anything to save the other.

Thank you for your interest in my books Alice! If you like something that keeps you guessing, I would recommend you start with "Behind Blue Eyes," however if you like something a little scary, then "The Clock Struck One" is the one to read first. Hope you enjoy them all.

Hi Beatrice depends on what you mean by yummy. If you're just looking for a good book, I have recently become acquainted with Sandra Brown books and would definitely recommend Low Pressure by her. Anything Stephen King is good too.

No worries Cam. I have been mixing up my reading a lot lately. For a long time, I mostly only read Stephen King and Matthew Reilly books but over the last year, I have read and discovered so many great books by different authors. It's good to mix it up a bit.

Hi, Ariel! Thanks for the question. I can't really say how I discovered I wanted to be a writer because I have as long as I can remember. As soon as I was able to write I was putting together little picture books and throughout my entire life, I've just written stories and poetry.
As for finding an agent...I haven't yet, and to be honest, I haven't really looked. At this point in time, I am going it alone.

I think the best way to write a mystery is to try and point the reader in every other direction other than where you want them to look while dropping subtle hints here and there to help them solve it so when they get to the end they go "oh so that's what was with that."
Also, it may be tricky to put these clues in as you write but you can always go back over your story and insert bits here and there that can hint towards the real ending or completely throw the reader off course. That's what I did with "Behind Blue Eyes".
Hope this helps and sorry for the late reply

I had a really bizarre dream about being in a warehouse and my child was kidnapped by these people who had taken over the world and I had to find her. That's where I got the idea for "The Ruined Ones" the book I have just finished writing but not edited yet.

Quick and simple answer: read a book. Reading always inspires me to write my own story.

I would have to say, the best thing about being a writer is of course, being about to create whatever you like. Make the most pleasing or most horrible people come to life on your pages and move them and shape them how you wish. In your book, the world is your oyster and you may make it as you please.

Discipline, attention to detail and patience are important. It takes a lot of time and effort to write a book, even more of that to edit a book and if you are publishing it yourself, ten times more work getting your story out there for the world to see. Even if you are being supported by a publishing house, you still need to put in the effort to help promote yourself and your work as much as you can. And most importantly, never give up.

I have finished my second novel, "The Ruined Ones." It's a post-apocalyptic war story that centers around a man who has had his wife and newborn daughter kidnapped. He finds himself facing unimaginable trials on the road to finding them, meeting people along the way who he grows to trust and some who will inevitably betray him. It is in the editing phase at the moment and won’t be ready for publication for some time.

My writing inspiration can come from anywhere at anytime. I carry a notepad around with me always incase I get hit with a sudden idea, or line or description I just have to write down. Reading helps too. I sometimes find it hard to read a book for long, simply because it makes me want to write.
