The best part about being a writer is being able to create worlds, characters, and feelings, onto a page that, at one point, was completely blank. Through the magic of words, you fill those pages with life.
I personally love creating characters that feel so real to you, that thinking of them gives you the same warm-feeling as thinking of a friend.

Don't give up. Never give up.
When you are writing your first draft, and even after it is done, you may have issues with self-doubt, but do not let it win. The first draft has full permission to not be your best work. All the first draft is at that point is a skeleton; that's it. A first draft is the bones of what your story is. Once you get your first draft done, just build on it until it is something you are proud of. It might take 5-6 drafts to do it, but don't give up!
I am still fighting my own self-doubt. In fact, the only reason why I was able to finish The Purest Blood is because I decided that I wanted it done more than I was afraid. I did not want to find myself an old lady regretting the books I never wrote, so I started writing for me with that in mind. There are still days where I am afraid to approach the keyboard because I don't think myself "good enough" to write, but I refuse to let it stop me.
Write your story and never let fear stop you.

I am currently writing a new novel about a girl who lives in the middle of a monster-filled forest. In order to find out what happened to her father and also to save herself from the curse that is slowly killing her, Antiiss must step into the forest and start her adventure.

Everything came from a drawing, actually.
When inspirations struck for a masked theif, I drew Valerlanta, the main character of The Purest Blood, and as I drew her, I started to world-build in my mind. The first real story I thought of had to do with Valerlanta going on a quest to get into her fathers thief-guild.
When I finished the drawing, I started coming up with new characters, such as Venic, and the story changed from there.
