Cheyanne Murray was born on Febuary 3, 1991 in Canada. She grew up near the Rocky Mountains with her parents and three siblings, and she does not plan to leave the area any time soon. Murray loves exploring the forests, and their landscapes inspire several of her novels.

The Purest Blood is her first high-fantasy, and the cover art and drawings inside were all done by her as well. Murray has plans to return to Valerlanta and her adventures someday, but for now she has other novels just waiting to be written.

Murray has a diploma in Photojournalism, but greatly prefers writing of fictional sword fights and dangers.

When you are writing your first draft, and even after it is done, you may have issues with self-doubt, but do not let it…moreDon't give up. Never give up.

When you are writing your first draft, and even after it is done, you may have issues with self-doubt, but do not let it win. The first draft has full permission to not be your best work. All the first draft is at that point is a skeleton; that's it. A first draft is the bones of what your story is. Once you get your first draft done, just build on it until it is something you are proud of. It might take 5-6 drafts to do it, but don't give up!

I am still fighting my own self-doubt. In fact, the only reason why I was able to finish The Purest Blood is because I decided that I wanted it done more than I was afraid. I did not want to find myself an old lady regretting the books I never wrote, so I started writing for me with that in mind. There are still days where I am afraid to approach the keyboard because I don't think myself "good enough" to write, but I refuse to let it stop me.

Write your story and never let fear stop you.(less)
