I don't have them any more. I've learned how to close the door and enter the state of creative flow. Creativity is not a talent. It's a mode of operating. We all know how to be in a closed mode, where we're efficient and focused. We weren't trained on how to enter the open mode, where ideas are born. It's a matter of allowing yourself to be playful, and of not allowing to be distracted.

The joy of being in the flow of creativity. You forget all your worries, and all the little erands on your diary. When a kid from New Zeland sent me a video of him reviewing my book, I was fully rewarded to see how it touched his soul and challenged and inspired his mind. That was the best.

Let your voice speak through. Believe in your ideas. Tell the story from your heart, without any barriers. That's the way to touch people's and children's souls.

I'm trying to focus on my new book, but naturally I have tons of ideas. I want the book translated to French, and other languages. Although it is a great tool for learning English. I want to meet children via Skype for Education, to see how my book inspired them. I miss the connection with children. It was always a source of energy for me.

Working at a Man and the Living museum, I introduced animals to children. So, writing was based on an intimate connection with animals and kids. Before writing a story or poem, I researched past literature and scientific facts about the animal. Then I brainstormed with my two daughters. One was about 7 years old. I would tell her that I need to write a story about a certain animal. She would spontanously tell me a 10 minutes story about that animal. Then I would consult my 2 years old daughter. She would tell me a few words about it. But it helped my in characterizing the animals, and it gave me ideas. Only after filling my head with all those facts and ideas, I would start writing. Sometimes, I painted the animal first. Then based on what came forth through the painting, I would start writing. The stories and poems also evolved through the feedback from the kids themselves.

Through work with children, introducing nature, environment, science and art to them. Learning was always fun. When you tell your stories to children, you must engage them, inspire them and make them laugh. So each story and poem was based on research, in order to challenge the kids intelectually, and was written through their eyes. I started drawing coloring pages for my young audience, based on my paintings. When I worked with gifted kids, I was asked to let kids write and draw freely, and renounce the coloring pages. What kids wrote and drew, inspired by my art and stories, astonished my. I realized that through all the years of early educational work, painting and writing I have created a tool to inspire all children with creativity and to foster their creative thinking.
