I've plotted through a 7 book series and there is a scene in Book 6 I'm scared of... and that's not even counting all my planned character deaths. At any rate, it's a version of a vision quest that I'm not sure I can do without getting too grisly. (hide spoiler)]

The idea actually came from a native legend, originating within a tribe that was once common near my birthplace, on the fringes of the Ohio Appalachians. There's magic in those mountains, if you know where to look.

I am currently working on the first two books of my debut series, The Tribe, entitled The Holler, and its prequel, The Spirit, to be released at the same time. Hopefully soon. But, I have manuscripts everywhere, including a nasty little horror I've been cooking up.
