May I say this is not a question 'per se' but just to encourage your writing historicals with language that reflects the era? Too often writers writing historicals shamelessly disregard the language a seventeenth century story filled with 21st century jargon is wickedly annoying. Keep up the great job of writing historical as historicals and your apology in A Chevalier in Deed was absolutely unneeded!

Jules, I just downloaded Scoundrel in Silk. Thanks very much for giving us such lovely stories. Is this the last of the C&Cs, or will there be a story every month?
Jules Radcliffe I'm having a lot of fun with this series, and I'm so glad you're enjoying it! Unfortunately I'm not a very fast writer, partly due to the research which always slows things down a lot! But I will try to get the C&Cs out as often as possible. At this stage, I'm hoping to have Castaways in the Caribbee out in January, but it could get pushed out further.

What are you currently working on?
Jules Radcliffe Currently writing the sequel to The Puritan Pirate (pub. Jan 2017). The Puritan Pirate is a stand-alone book, but I couldn't resist giving Perry and Quinn more adventures!

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Jules Radcliffe I just keep writing. Take it in another direction. Go back to where it went wrong. Sometimes a story path just will not work, and you'll have to delete pages of work. Save it to another document (in case you can use some of it elsewhere) and move on.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Jules Radcliffe Being able to make a beautiful life for my characters, who become almost like friends!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Jules Radcliffe Hone your craft. The inspiration is the easiest part of writing. The technique is the hardest. Do creative writing courses, read books, improve your style!
