I just started working on my ninth book - Estill County: The Foothills of Appalachia. This will be historical fiction based on the life of my grandfather. So many amazing stories have been passed down through my family, some hysterically funny and others painfully heart-wrenching. Overall, it's a great story of what life was like in the late 1800s and early 1900s in Appalachia!

My most recent book is Adenomyosis: A Significantly Neglected and Misunderstood Uterine Disorder. I wrote this book after suffering from this disorder for seventeen years. I only heard about adenomyosis after I finally had my hysterectomy, and it was at that time that I realized very little was known about this uterine disorder. Millions of women suffer from adenomyosis and endometriosis, and it is imperative that these two uterine disorders get more attention so these women will get better treatment.
