Hi Greg! Thanks for asking about this. I know something about the Alexander Technique since it's a favorite of many performers. From what I know, the emphasis on natural ease stemming from proper alignment and physical bearing is right in line with my concept of grace, as involving and enhancing the entire person, inside and out. The physical is a huge part of this--our physical presence has an effect on how we feel and behave, and on how those around us feel, too. But I can't say that Alexander's writings or the technique have had a direct influence, other than the fact that they are among many sources of wisdom about the body, and about inhabiting it comfortably and healthily. You've inspired me to find out more, though!
