As of this answer, I am working on the third book of the Town Magician series. The original story came about because of a festival.
Near where I live, every year, they do a Harry Potter themed festival. I wanted to have a book ready so I could set up an author table. But the books I had been working on didn't fit the theme of the festival well, so I decided to write one based on magic.
I quickly wrote the first Town Magician book but never got it out for the festival, because I had to work on improving the story and editing and getting a book cover and more.
The idea just grew from the basic thought of a kid getting his magic powers. Then I thought that it would be cool if the magicians were the most important people in the world, and started to add more and more details to support those ideas.
The Martin & James stories started as a dream my step-son Jason had. I took what he described and turned it into a set of stories.

Ah, travel to worlds, that's what I'm all about! There are just so many worlds to visit - but for me, Star Wars would be first.
Harry Potter and Hogwarts is basically our world, just the magical part we muggles can't see.
What is so exciting about living in our world is that we can visit replica's of this stuff! Disney world and Universal studios allow us to visit these worlds as if they were real! How cool is that?!
And, of course, I wouldn't mind visiting my own worlds that I write. I mean, I find them interesting or I wouldn't want to write about them, right?

Guess what! Anyone can write! It doesn't matter if you are 10 or 20 or 55, you can write stories. There is absolutely nothing stopping you from doing so. You don't even need much equipment. In fact, you can tell a story to your friends today on the playground. Or in the car - believe me, mom's and dad's LOVE to hear stories in the car!
If you have something you really want to remember, grab a piece of paper and a pencil. Or even a crayon - it doesn't matter, just start writing.
The more you write now, the better you'll write later. If you write tons of stories while you are young, when you get old (like 20), you'll have much more experience that almost anyone else at the ripe old age.

(view spoiler)[In Martin & James vs the Masked Moss-Trooper, is Vincent's sword magical or does it exist in another dimension? (hide spoiler)]

That's a question several people have asked me. I'm not sure. Magic definitely exists in their world since they visited Madame Washti in Martin & James visit the Witch. As far as another dimension, it's a possibility. Their world is suspiciously close to our world with a few differences. Could the sword exist outside the dimension they are in? It's quite feasible. That's something that may be explored more as Martin & Vincent clash in future stories.

I just wake up, enjoy life, and my brain keeps ticking all the time as I do things. Almost daily I get some story idea. Some are better than others, but that's how it goes.

As of right now, summer 2018, I am working on a few more Martin & James stories, one of which is more a novella.
I have a couple origin stories for a superhero team, I just need to think and work on actual adventures. I think the characters are pretty good right now.
then I have plans for a couple book series - Melvin the red-necked trucker and his paranormal adventures is the first. Obviously it's a completely serious set of stories. Yeah right.
the other, and bigger novel, will be about Liza Jane and her adventures. That's all I'll say about that now.
