Some friends and I were discussing the literary expectations in Singapore and how the only way to truly stand out was to incorporate the heritage of the country, and its modernism. On top of that, there are limitations to what you can and cannot write about while self censoring. Also, speculative fiction is still very new in Asia so I took that as a challenge.

I'm currently working on the first full-length book in the Temasek Holorecords series titled 'Bell and Tiger's Rock' which should be launched by end-2015. If you have read the teaser/preview novella 'You Are The Gun, I Am The War', this will provide an insight into the world that has been set up and will be a perspective from the other side of the story.
I have also contributed a small collection of poetry to accompany the art for an illlustrator's exhibition. It is still in the works and more details will be available at a later stage.
