Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Lisle Tam Some friends and I were discussing the literary expectations in Singapore and how the only way to truly stand out was to incorporate the heritage of the country, and its modernism. On top of that, there are limitations to what you can and cannot write about while self censoring. Also, speculative fiction is still very new in Asia so I took that as a challenge.
