Fever dreams... small world because I read most of 'Pulling Strings' with a mild fever (ah the joys of small villages, poor water treatment and severe inbreeding). It actually seemed to be appropriate even though my wife swears I didn't move my tea cup with my mind? Some nonsense about dropping it because I'm a klutz and not a klairvoyant... sic(k).

Also, I think I need to re-categorize FEA.

There weren't any books which influenced FEA. It was inspired instead by one of the oldest and greatest of motivating factors to attempt wild and outlandish things: Rum.

It came from a rum induced fever dream I had while on a tropical island. The scene in the pawnshop is straight out of the dream, and it's how things ended before I woke up sweating and screaming. I couldn't shake those images for weeks, and knew that I had to get them down on paper.
